Library / Blackboard Integration: Using Modules

BlackBoard Library Module Creation

One way to embed library access and recourses into Blackboard is by creating library content modules. Bronx Community College Library and Bronx Community College Blackboard administrators have worked together to make modules in the campus Blackboard library tab. Each module is a link to the most important library resource pages at BCC. By making each resource into a separate module teaching faculty may choose which module they want to add to their own Blackboard course page.

Here is what our Library Blackboard page looks like:

Adding Modules to othe Blackboard pages

You can create original BB modules on classroom pages or you can access modules made by yourself or others and add those to your classroom pages. If the library has created modules of content you may access these modules and place them in different parts of your BB environment.

In order to place a module produced by the library in your Blackboard you will need to know the name of the module.

On your homepage or on your class page you may add a module. Look for the Add Module button:

Add Module to Blackboard

You may either create a new module or on the left you can search for a module by name:

Search Blackboard Module

After you have search the module by name simply add it with the “Add” button. You may click and drag the module to reorder it on a page in BB.
