If you are asked to "confirm or explain" click on the red check mark and a text box will open up.
When you are finished entering your data, the initial screen should look like the below image. It should say Clean (0/1 locks). Institutional research will lock the survey.
If you see this screen, congratulations! You're done!
If you see this, you need to resolve errors with comments:
Click the Perform Edits link to be taken to this screen:
Click Go to error screen to see the errors.They'll have a red check mark next to them:
Click the red check mark to bring up the textbox where you can type in an explanation of your data.
When all of your errors are resolved, the resolved column will show Yes.
If all the errors are marked as resolved and your data still doesn't show as clean, just refresh the page. Once it says clean, you're all set!
When you are finished entering data into IPEDS AL and have run it through edit checks, the screen where you login to the survey should look like this. If your status is "Clean," that means you are done. Congratulations!
Librarians are not authorized to "lock" the surveys. This will be done by institutional research.
