Library Assessment: CUNY Libraries Assessment Committee

This Libguide is a place to aggregate information about library assessment activities and best practices


The Assessment Committee exists to collaboratively develop and facilitate library assessment initiatives and outreach, and share information and resources about best practices and methodologies. The Committee also works in identifying assessment opportunities and designing assessment tools and strategies, as well as promoting assessment activities and fostering a culture of assessment within the CUNY Libraries.


The Committee is appointed by the University Dean for Libraries and Information Systems. The co-chairs will initially be appointed by OLS and by the committee thereafter. They will serve a two year term.


  • OLS Assessment Librarian
  • Up to ten members-at-large from CUNY libraries with experience and/or interest in assessment issues and practices.
